Who are we but strolling players,
Wand'ring through the long ago
Joys and sadness, hopes and longing,
Keep us traveling onward though,
The laughter and applause of others
Who view the passing cavalcade
Leaves echoes hovering some far summer
Floating round a woodland glade
'Twas but a tale for your amusement
Like my small unworthy rhyme
Gone, alas, into those realms,
The land of Once Upon A Time

Welcome to the Family, Bryant Wise!

Within 5 days of coming home from our honeymoon, we had gotten the itch to adopt a dog.

We knew once we went to the shelter it would be over, so we didn't go until we were really ready.

And of course, we fell in love with a black and tan coon dog.

pros: lovable, friendly, good with kids, pretty healthy.

Cons:  poots a lot.

A LOT!

But who couldn't love this face.  What a cutie pie, and so sweet.  Only 33 pounds and 8 months old, he had been abandoned somewhere in Englewood.

We think we were the first owners to be kind to him.

And he sure does love us!

We took him on "sniff walks" every day so he could use his nose, usually which resulted in him eating lizards.  Yuck!

He's been a lovable and loyal member of our family since day one.
